That is the website I use to find a majority of the tabs I use. You know paint by numbers? Well, this is basically guitar by numbers. The only downside to it is that it's tough to check for accuracy, and often it takes a trained eye to spot mistakes, which if you're just learning, clearly you don't have a trained eye. That being said, it's between this site and experimentation that I've gained most of my guitar playing abilities.

As far as youtube goes, there's two ways to go about it. You can learn specific songs, which there are tons of videos for. Downside here is that I've run into plenty of videos where it's just some guy who thinks he can play (ha!) and even worse, thinks he can teach, (pffsh!) playing his own butchered version of the song you're trying to learn, like that's gonna help. Not always the case, I just love to complain. Or, you can search something along the lines of "beginner guitar lessons" and follow one person and see how it goes.

With this second way, I have the same thing to say about it as I do about beginner guitar books... The same thing doesn't work for everybody, and what I think is a nugget of gold might absolutely **** for you. That's why I say follow one, test the waters, and if you're learning, then continue. If you don't get it, maybe try someone else.

And don't think I forget answering you the other day... The poster called "Guitar Chords" is amazing. Even if you only learn three or four chords off of it, it's there as a constant reminder to actually pick up and practice your guitar. Because, after all, that's the key to learning. Doing. All it takes is dedication.

One last thing I think might come in helpful. Instead of finding as many sources as you can to learn from, find one, two, three tops to really hone in on. Sure, it's great to immerse yourself in the wealth of knowledge that the internet has to offer, but a certain amount of repetition and really familiarizing yourself with one thing at a time is how it will truly sink in. And I am in no way kidding about repetition... Practice, practice, practice, (take a break,) practice some more.

PluckandPlayGuitar has free video based lessons for absolute beginners and assume you know nothing or close to nothing.

It takes you step by step through the basic guitar chords one by one. There's also lesson on guitar scales, techniques and some easy songs to play.
